Fiona Creaby

Fiona is currently a Senior Lecturer in Leadership and Management in the Faculty of Business and Law at Manchester Metropolitan University where she teaches on executive education and business management programmes. Prior to joining academia, Fiona has a background in public sector and non-profit management having worked in state schools, NGOs and social enterprise charities. This has included several years spent as a School Business Leader in secondary education in England and as an Operations Manager for charity in Australia leading children’s education and care programmes.

Fiona is actively involved in research and advisory work on education management policy and regularly collaborates with professional bodies and government departments to explore and support the growth and development of business leadership in state schools. Fiona is also a Board Trustee (Treasurer) of the British Educational Leadership, Management and Administration Society (BELMAS
