Nicola Rees

Nicky is a qualified English teacher and SENDCo. Her inspiration for working with pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) came from early recognition and subsequent support provided to a pupil who, for a number of years, had been hiding and struggling to self-manage their learning difficulty. Very quickly Nicky recognised this pupil was dyslexic. From this point, the pupil’s life changed for the better.

For over 13 years, Nicky’s knowledge, passion and drive for all things SEND has resulted in her working closely with teachers, support staff, parents and external professionals, in a range of settings, to prioritise and advocate for young people with SEND, to ensure they receive the right support and achieve the best outcomes possible.
