Girlguiding Activity Centres

Taking children out of their usual environment can be a brilliant way to encourage them to grow, learn and step up to new challenges. A trip to one of our activity centres provides the opportunity to have adventures that aren’t possible in a hall or classroom.

We specialise in affordable activity breaks for school groups, including day and residential trips, and we place emphasis on the benefits of learning outside the classroom. The activities we offer are tied into learning and development at key stages 2 and 3 of the national curriculum, as well as the ten key outcomes as specified by the English Outdoor Council.

At our centres, children of all ages and abilities develop new skills in a unique environment as they increase their confidence, change their perspective by broadening their horizons, develop better team working and communication skills, and improve health and fitness. And it’s not only the children that benefit. A good residential experience can have a lasting impact on the whole group by increasing cohesion and strengthening relationships.
