Annie Hudson was appointed as Chair of the Child Safeguarding Practice Review Panel in December 2020.
A social worker by profession, Annie has held a range of practice, leadership and academic posts including:
- Strategic Director, Children’s Services for Lambeth London Borough Council
- Director of Children’s Services for Bristol City Council
Whilst at Lambeth, she co-led the development of the borough’s youth violence strategy and regional adolescent safeguarding work for the Association of London Directors of Children’s Services.
She is currently a member of the What Works Centre for Children’s Social Care advisory board and is a trustee at The Social Care Institute for Excellence and Oxfam GB.
