Lauren Howard

I am the Mental Health Lead, Subject Leader for PSHE and a History Teacher at Stour Valley Community School in Clare, Suffolk. I have been teaching at this school for 10 years and have had the pleasure of leading on a number of initiatives relevant to my various roles. I have trained Mental Health Ambassadors, delivered training to trainee teachers on Mental Health and am incredibly proud of our school’s response to sexual harassment in schools following the publication of the Everyone’s Invited list. This will be the focus of my presentation today, ably supported via video by our wonderful Ethics Committee. I truly believe that wellbeing must be central to absolutely everything in school, and that it is the key to good attendance, achievement and aspiration.
