Run by Network Managers for Network Managers.
The Association of Network Managers in Education was founded in April 2014 by two school Network Managers who had worked in schools for over 20 years.
After running their own informal local Network Manager meetings, they soon outgrew their conference facilities. This led to arranging more suitable venues, making them available to more Network Managers, covering a wider area.
Run on a voluntary basis by Rick Cowell, the ANME arranges termly meetings/conferences, providing time for networking and general discussions, and inviting various topical companies to display and demonstrate their products and services. It also offers the members access to a private members portal, encouraging networking online as well as at the meetings.
The ANME is free to join, and the meetings are free to attend. Membership is open to all Network Managers, IT Directors, or IT Technicians employed in education, whether primary, secondary, colleges, or universities, and in any sector – state, academies, and independent.
